Abstract Guidelines

Abstract submission deadline is Monday, January 26 2026 (11:59 PM CET) 

Abstracts can only be submitted online via the abstract submission tool. Abstracts sent by post or email will not be accepted. No exceptions will be made.

BASO requires full disclosure of all relevant sources of funding in relation to abstracts submitted to this conference. If you have funding sources or any conflict of interest to disclose, please do so briefly in the abstract footer, as shown below.

BASO subscribes to the principles of ethics and integrity in science. Using another author's work without permission or acknowledgement is plagiarism. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and will result in rejection and sanction.

Please ensure that you refer to the EASO Person First Language Guide when preparing your abstract AND developing your presentation. Please note that abstracts that do not use Person First Language will be rejected.

Author names and affiliations/institutions will be requested during the submission process and should not be entered in the abstract text section.

ABSTRACT TITLE: Arial 10 font, left aligned, maximum of 200 characters (which clearly indicates the nature of the investigation).

For example: Prevention of Obesity in School-age Children

ABSTRACT TEXT: Arial 10 font, left aligned, maximum of 3200 characters, written in (including spaces, headings and references but excluding the title) – please note that word counts will be checked and abstracts that do not adhere to these guidelines will be automatically rejected.

Editing is possible by logging in with your profile until 27 January 2026 (08.00 AM CET)

The abstract should be structured into the following sections:

  • A title
  • Objectives
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion

(Figures may be included in the abstract itself)
